The atmosphere at Nirvana Boutique Hotel truly felt like a sanctuary amidst the chaos of Kathmandu. A standout was the beautifully decorated room, which sparked joy upon entry. The breakfast spread impressed me each morning, especially the omelette station that never failed to hit the spot. I found the garden area exceptionally serene, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the bustling Thamel neighborhood. However, some minor inconveniences came into play. The room size was a tad cramped, with limited space to move around. I also noted some loose electrical outlets, which led to occasional plug failures. On one instance, I encountered a delay with room service, although, it didn't overshadow my overall experience. For those looking to explore, the hotel's location felt central yet peaceful, with easy access to Durbar Square and Swoyambhu Mahachaitya. Taxis may be tricky due to the location on a one-way street, but using the Dom Himalaya address with drivers made it hassle-free. Overall, a delightful stay with great hospitality, but keep in mind a few areas could use some attention.

Oh man, the food here was a culinary adventure! The breakfast spread, especially the omelette station, was epic. The lush garden vibe totally lifted my spirits, and the staff, especially Mr Nowraz, were super welcoming, making me feel right at home.
Our expectations were way too high after all the positive reviews. The room was okay-ish, and it wasn’t ready when we arrived. We got a one-bed room instead of two and had to wait again. Plus, the shower wasn't working well, and the bathroom had some serious water issues. The garden music was way too loud and you could hear it all day in our room.

During my stay, Nirvana Boutique exceeded expectations with its serene atmosphere and exceptional hospitality. The location is ideal, tucked away from the hustle of Thamel yet within a short walk to key attractions. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, complemented by hot water and a peaceful garden area. The breakfast buffet offered a diverse spread, including an omelette station, and the staff were attentive and eager to assist with any needs.
A minor drawback was the slightly slower service at the restaurant.

The property is centrally located but feels like a quiet escape. Rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with amazing hot showers. The staff truly exceeded our expectations, accommodating us and even providing safe luggage storage between hikes. Breakfasts were fantastic, especially loved the variety.
In my wife’s opinion, a few more family-friendly dining options would be welcome.

excellent stay but minor improvements needed
The garden area was a delightful retreat, perfect for having a drink or reading a book. The staff were exceptionally warm and went out of their way to help me plan memorable excursions around the city. My room had a stunning, cozy balcony overlooking the garden, which added to the pleasant atmosphere of my stay.
However, the WiFi connection was occasionally slow, which was a bit frustrating at times.

The beds were super comfy, and I loved chilling out in the peaceful garden area after a long day out. They also offer foot massages and BBQ facilities, which were nice little bonuses for relaxing. The only thing was the laundry service was a bit pricey, but that didn’t take away from my overall experience! 😊

Exceptional hospitality and memorable excursions
I had a fantastic experience during my stay, especially thanks to Khagendra, the owner, who took the time to help me plan amazing excursions, including a breathtaking helicopter ride over Everest.
